We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Ban semi-automatic weapons in the US.

There were almost 400 mass shootings in 2015 and in 2016 we have over 133 so far...

A report published by the FBI last year, studying active shooting situations between 2000 and 2013, found that these kinds of incidents were happening more and more recently...an average of 6.4 active shootings per year, while the last seven years found that number jumped up to 16.4 incidents per year.

Economist Richard Florida dove into the correlations between gun deaths and other social indicators. Some of what he found was unexpected: Higher populations, more stress, more immigrants, and more mental illness were not correlated with more deaths from gun violence...States with tighter gun control laws appear to have fewer gun-related deaths.
