The US needs to ban shark fin soup in all of its states and territories. the act of shark finning is wasteful and ultimately harmful to our environment. without sharks our oceans will change for the worse as animals that would be culled from existing stocks would be able to breed with healthy stock, thus diminishing the overall health of fish population.
There should be harsh fines and sentences for people caught in the act of finning as well as people buying or selling shark fin or any "products" that can be made from the fins of these majestic apex predators.
