We The People urge the Obama Administration to ban all shark fishing in all US waters. More than 90% of sharks have been depleted from the Ocean, and its time that the United States of America begin to lead the way in protecting these creatures so as to keep the bio-diversity of our Ocean healthy. The urge for regulations on fishing equipment to eliminate the by-catch of sharks, which plays a big role in the quick decline in their population. Sharks get tangled up in nets and lines left in the water, then die from the experience, rarely surviving the trauma. In conclusion, We The People urge the Obama Administration to ban all shark fishing in US waters and to regulate fishing techniques as to eliminate the by-catch of sharks.
