Smoking is deadly, causing sickness and health problems for those who smoke. Medicaid and Medicare are programs designed to help Americans who cannot afford insurance or who have retired. However, funds should not be helping smokers.
Smoking is intentional bodily harm. It is a choice. By smoking, medical costs rise and it is unfair to expect the government to take care of one's health problems associated with he poor decision to smoke.
Smokers should not receive Medicaid or Medicare, as they cost too much money and are a problem to our nation (both the health of its people and the nation's financial health).
