We ask you to ban all forms of violence against children, including corporal punishment in schools and in the home. After the recent Colorado theater shooting and Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, it is worth asking what ways we can reduce violence apart from tighter gun control. One way is to progress into a society in which violence is unacceptable.
The data is no secret: Children who are spanked tend to grow up more angry and also tend to have more mental illnesses.
