The use of minion memes across the internet has quickly spiraled out of control. These insidious, shareable pictures usually show a "minion" with some quote or bit of knowledge. Beyond the obnoxious amount of these you will see on any media with user driven content, these should be illegal. Most notably these are blatant trademark infringement. Often times the quote associated with such images has nothing to do with the minions or the "Despicable Me" franchise from which they appear. It isn't uncommon for quotes from actual despicable people to appear on them- in fact I've seen 2 different minion memes with quotes from hitler on them. It all comes down to the fact that slapping a minion on a line of propaganda is the easiest way to get a mom to share it, and I won't stand for it.
