Ban stores from opening on Thanksgiving day for Black Friday sales. Starting sales, especially at 5 pm, on Thanksgiving takes away from the meaning of the holiday. Workers are forced to be away from their families and miss out on the festivities of the holiday. Consumers of these sales are also cutting out time with their families to start shopping.
