We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon the Government of the United States to ban the practice of telemarketing. We submit this petition for a complete ban for the following reasons:
1. To maintain our Right to Privacy in our own homes, from unwanted solicitation, through our personal telephones.
2. To be free of uninvited, unwelcome, relentless phone calls to private, unlisted telephone numbers.
3. To make effective the Do Not Call List registry, and end the requirement of re-registration of said list.
4. To hold accountable the FTC for penalizing violators of the statutes of the National Do Not Call Registry.
While we remain aware of more pressing national concerns, we thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
