ban the testing of medicinal and cosmetic products on animals.

I would like the Obama administration to ban the testing of consumer products such as medicine and cosmetics on animals. There are alternatives to animal testing that do not involve harming animals. These include simulators, in vitro (both 3-D and human cell), antibodies, and a number of other methods. There is little to no correlation between humans and the animals used in test labs. This fact alone renders the tests useless. Please consider this petition if you care about the well-being of living things as well as the progress of science. Thank You.
