I want to petition that athletes that have undergone surgery to 'become' a male or female, or even just self-identified as the opposite gender, should not be able to participate as whatever gender they identify as. I believe this is wrong because I just read an article on how many athletic companies, including the Olympics itself, is allowing trans athletes to compete under whichever gender they identify as. So, for example, an Olympic male sprinter that says he is a female, can compete in female races. This gives him an unfair advantage over other participants because males are genetically slightly stronger than females, which makes the race an uneven playing field.
