Ban TV ads for prescription drugs, and restrict how they can be advertised

Created by M.R. on April 13, 2014

Prescription drugs are being marketed to entice patients to request specific drugs, which may not be the best treatment for the patient. Doctors and health care professionals should determine which drug a patient receives, not TV ads. Many of these mass marketed drugs are being proven to have severe side effects which are affecting thousands of users, who would probably have never been on the drug if it had not been so heavily advertised. Prescription drug ads should be regulated in the same way as those for Alcohol and Tobacco products.
