Champaign Taxis Reform & Banning of Uber Passenger Transportation Business in Champaign County
We the taxi/transportation services for hire, business owners, and drivers are all in agreement of reforming of ordinances for local taxi/transportation services, and the banning of the transportation services called (Uber/Uber X) because of numerous violations of city ordinances in Champaign County.
With the amount of insurance that local taxis have to carry, inspections, and fees that have to be payed yearly, to operate in Champaign County, as well as the state of Illinois, which were raised this year 2015, after it was announced that (Uber/Uber X) were coming to Champaign County we the people feel that it is unfair, and the hiking of fees is a unfair business practice.
