America, for many years now, the deadly artificial sweetener known as Aspartame, has plagued our society with obesity and disease. Aspartame is a known carcinogen, cancer causer, which increases the amount of bad bacteria in your body, causing your mind to crave foods high in carbohydrates, and fat. It has also been linked to causing brain tumors, and many other deadly diseases such as leukemia, and lymphoma disease. This is a toxic sweetener that has affected the lives of many people including my family. My mom is currently suffering from many deficiencies, and kidney issues due to Aspartame. My friend also recently got lymphoma, and guess what: He drank a lot of diet sodas in his childhood, and he continues to now. Dear America, Sign this petition, we can ban this harmful substance!
