This does not limit just to the catholic priests. Priests of other faiths have also been accused and in many cases found guilty or sexual abuse of people in their respective congregations (in many cases women and minors).
We applaud the many anti-trans measures sweeping the nation in the name of “religious freedom” which target trans people requiring them to use public bathrooms whose labels match the gender on their birth certificates, in the name or safety. However, there is no actual data suggesting that trans people pose any actual risk but there is plenty of data that priests are a threat to kids.
