The use of cell phones while driving is the cause of too many deaths on the roadways. Cell phones are deadly weapons as are the cars the user is driving while using their phones. The constitution does not have an amendment to protect citizens from drivers who are not paying attention to the road while they are using this device, nor does it cover the use of heavy machinery moving at speeds that could kill the unsuspecting pedestrian or other safe drivers on the road. An executive order should be instated to eliminate the ability to carry, and use, a cell phone while operating heavy machinery. With such an executive order countless lives can be saved.
