Ban the use of azodicarbonamide as a food additive. This plastic additive is banned in the UK, EU, and Australia.

Created by P.K. on February 23, 2014

This petition is to ban the use of azodicarbonamide in the production of food. It is used as a dough conditioner. It has been linked to respiratory problems. "In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive has identified azodicarbonamide as a respiratory sensitizer (a possible cause of asthma)."The World Health Organization has linked azodicarbonamide to "respiratory issues, allergies and asthma" for individuals at workplaces where azodicarbonamide is manufactured or handled in raw form." So ban the use of this dangerous chemical from being in the production of food, that is also used in the production of foam, rubber, and plastic. This has came up recently when it was found in subways bread. It is also used by Mcdonalds, Starbucks, and Arbys, as a well as most commercial bread.
