Scientists all over the world have proved a multiplicity of times that chemical flame retardants are harmful to humans. They lower IQ permanently, and build up in the fatty tissue and never go away. These chemicals can cause cancer and harmful mutations in genes. They are also passed through breast milk. They are used in all furniture to help prevent fires; however, the chemical companies have one study only found in Sweden that supposedly proves their flame retardants work. This study only has 8 instances to compare, and they are all T.V. fires, and therefore have no basis on furniture. These chemical flame retardants do not work and must be banned.
