Ban the use Corexit, a dispersant used to dissolve crude oil in water after a spill, until further research is performed

Corexit is a potentially hazardous compound for human exposure, and although NOAA claims that Corexit mixed with oil is no more toxic than the oil itself, studies have been released that disagree with this opinion. Georgia Tech and Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) recently partnered on a study and stated in a research paper in Enviornmental Pollution that the mixture is instead 52 times more toxic than the oil itself. The University of Georgia also recently reported findings of a substantial oil layer dozens of miles wide in all directions around the capped well, suggesting the oil was not biodegraded, as is intended in the use of Corexit. There needs to be a more comprehensive and exhaustive study performed and until then, Corexit should be banned from use by the EPA.
