whether you use facebook or not, no matter how much time you spend on it, almost all of us are willing to admit it is a social pitfall. we have become a self-absorbed, communication technology obsessed nation, and most agree that we have better things to do with our time than check our facebook. in the classroom? sure! at the playground with the kids? why not? driving? hope for the best! it is absolutely absurd.
what else could we do with our time? listen in class, play with our kids, drive carefully, read a book, call a friend, write a letter, write a diary. I don't know! cure cancer! solve the energy crisis! cure hunger! achieve world peace!
We have bright minds out there wasting hours checking facebook, when, if they looked up from their screens, they'd see a world not a status update.
