Ban the use of Federal welfare funds to purchase non-essential foods.

Created by J.F. on March 04, 2013

In some states you can use "food stamps" to purchase items like a mocha or an energy drink. Assistance is meant to feed people not buy them "treats". There is no reason a person on assistance should be able to go to a fast food restaurant on the public dime. I call for real reform of our food assistance programs.

Our Federal Government should withhold funds from states who allow this practice.
