High-Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) is a highly processed sweetener that is more harmful to humans than cane sugar and leads to diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Products containing HFCS are able to be labeled as "natural" claiming that the product is derived from corn and thus comparable to table sugar.
HFCS is found in practically any food product on the market. Breads, ketchup, jams, yogurt, salad dressings, soft drinks, soups, cereals, lunch meats are just some of the many products that contain this unnecessary substance. It's actually difficult to find products without HFCS.
If you care about the health of your country then ban the use of this dangerous sweetener.
