Although the science and purpose of vaccines is beautiful, its being ruined by our own doing. Many modern vaccines still contain ingredients like mercury, formaldehyde, & aluminum. Its admitted that one of the most toxic substances known to man, mercury, is still in vaccines today like a majority of flu shots (http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/appendices/B/excipie...). Even if these vaccines didn't contain a 50-fold overdose of the "safe" amount of mercury, it would still be the principal of adding unnecessary toxins to vaccines that is deeply disturbing. Its 2015, and if we don't have the medical capacity to take something as poisonous as mercury out of vaccines, which was done with the MMR vaccine, then we don't deserve to practice medicine.
