The Harvard School of Public Health has linked nuerotoxic neonicotinoid pesticide use to the Colony Collapse Disorder affecting the world bee populations in two seperate studies.
Imidacloprid and clothianidin necontinoids were shown to be "...highly likely to be responsible for triggering CCD in honey bee hives that were healthy prior to the arrival of winter."
Executive Director Achim Steiner of UNEP stated that “The way humanity manages or mismanages its nature-based assets, including pollinators, will in part define our collective future in the 21st century,” and that “The fact is that of the 100 crop species that provide 90 per cent of the world’s food, over 70 are pollinated by bees.”
The Loss of our bees is intolerable and endangers our collective future.
