Polystyrene use and production needs to be discontinued. It is harmful to the environment, costly to the taxpayer, and easily replaceable. I cannot state it better than NYC mayor Bloomberg: "One product that is virtually impossible to recycle and never biodegrades is Styrofoam. It is something that we know is environmentally destructive and that may be hazardous to our health that is costing taxpayers money and that we can easily do without." Let's follow the lead of New York and other communities in banning this ecological hazard.
