The effects of Styrofoam extend father then the effects of our environment. The basic building block of Styrofoam is called Styrene. Some of the effects that Styrene has after constant exposure are irritation of the skin, eyes, and upper respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal problems. Not only that, but studies show that Styrene can also cause depression. Banning Styrofoam would not only help save the environment, it would also help keep the 90,000 workers safe.
