We The People of the United States of America petition the government to Ban the use of Tear Gas on Citizens.
"Tear gas, formally known as a lachrymatory agent or lachrymator, is a non-lethal chemical weapon that stimulates the corneal nerves in the eyes to cause tearing, pain, and even blindness." [1]
The use of Tear Gas in war is prohibited under the terms of the Chemical Weapons Convention, however the use of it on civilians is allowed.[2]
