After tuning in to a family show on A&E, a Time Warner cable channel, the show turned to a commercial break. During the commercial break the channel aired an AT&T commercial where children were gathered in a classroom setting, pulling a child's or parent's attention to the television screen. The channel then transitioned the programming to new commercial for Bates Motel where a person was throwing bloody human bodies into a grave and using a shovel to cover the shallow grave with dirt.
Many people are concerned about the violence on television and how it impacts the human mind, violence in society, and especially the minds of children. Airing violence in commercials unwilling subjects families to violent imagery, when it may not be their free will to be exposed to such imagery.
