Java and Flash lets vulnerable over 3 billion computers to viruses, and unwanted programs damaging computer usability, Where As These computer could be in banking institutions, where we shop, water-treatment plants, power plants (coal, and Nuclear), and in Are Government offices where we pay taxes,and use in are military. The cost of recovery of a computer running java and Flash compounded by 3 million computers as said on the install screen is a financial determent to business, and to security breach in retail stores. As in Security Expert Steve Gibson of grc.com can show evidence in his podcast over the past 7 years.
