Currently you can easily transfer positive account balance between your own personal accounts. Try to transfer a negative balance between accounts. Won't work. A consumer should have freedom and right to choose when to pay their own debts. How many times could a Friday direct deposit paid your rent but you could not meet the deadline because the bank paid itself first? Consumers should have total control of their accounts not just when the figures are positive. If I could transfer my negative account to another account I would have the freedom to pay my creditors at a time of my choosing depending on the severity of a debt at a certain time.
This would provide consumers with more power over the control of their money and bank accounts.
