To produce palm oil in Indonesia and Malaysia, tropical rain forests are cut down to make room for the palm oil trees, which palm oil is then extracted from. However, the tropical rain forests are home to many species of animals, including tigers, elephants, and orangutans. Also, when the rain forest trees are cut down, they release carbon emissions into the atmosphere, helping to power global warming. Then the palm oil appears in everything from cosmetics to peanut butter. Consuming palm oil increases the risk of stroke and/or heart diseases. Please help stop this now!
