The Confederate flag stands for white supremacy which goes against the Constitution of the United States, and encourages discrimination. Also discrimination of any sort is frowned upon in learning environments. Students already have issues that make learning difficult, so schools should not be allowing unnecessary strains onto that, which negatively effects their education. This specific topic is especially important considering the United States' history of slavery and discrimination. Also, all of the impressive figures in history, like Rosa Parks, who contributed so much to improving our society, which their sacrifices cannot not be taken for granted or be left in vain. Students are the future of the United States, and deserve a learning environment where nothing stifles their education.
