Monosodium Glutamate is found in so many processed foods in our supermarkets and even in restaurants. MSG is often used as a flavor enhancer to foods that otherwise would taste bland, usually because they lack nutritional value and often lead to immediate symptoms such as headaches. In some studies with lab rats it has even been a link to obesity. MSG is often found in the majority of food children are eating and are unaware of it's repercussions. For an ingredient that has no nutritional value there is no point for it to be included in foods in every aisle of the supermarket.
