Bar Japan from the Trans-Pacific Partnership regional trade agreement , unless they open their market to free trade!

Created by K.O. on June 26, 2013

We strongly oppose completing the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement with Japan at this time. Japan is the third largest automotive market in the world , with about 5 million vehicles sold annually. Yet it remains one of the most closed markets among the developed nations. Because of Japan's protectionist policies, including currency manipulation, the U.S. can only send one vehicle there for every 130 Japan sells here in America.
Given Japan's closed market and its unwillingness to reform, a trade agreement such as TPP will only lock in one way trade in Japan's favor-putting 100,000 American Auto jobs at risk...and potentially crashing the American Economic recovery!
