Base child support off of a 40 hour work week and don't include overtime into the factor. It can cause problems.

Created by N.C. on December 05, 2012

I recently lost my job and child support in Virginia didn't care. They told me not having a job wasn't a good enough reason to reevaluate the amount owed or to change it. They based it off of the gross I was making with work weeks of 70 hours. When my work took away all overtime, child support told me "Ooh well". I cannot afford $900 dollars a month now! Base it off of a 40 hour work week! Simple.
