Base income tax rates on the political affiliation of the tax payer

A major thrust of the campaign was higher taxes on those with greater incomes. This issue created a rift along the party lines of the electorate. A compromise would be to raise taxes for those who voted for higher taxes (democrat affiliation) and leave taxes unchanged for those who voted against higher taxes (republican affiliation). This compromise would satisfy both sides and implementation would not be too burdensome as political affiliation is generally attested to when registering to vote. Voters in a state without such affiliation would need to be assigned an affiliation (1) by self attest when filing tax forms or (2) based on the presidential party who won the state or (3) via changes in state registration. Those claiming no or other affiliation will be taxed the democrat rates.
