For nearly 2015 years, America has based their calendar year on January 1, AD1. Too long have we shared our calendar with nations such as North Korea, Russia, and China.
The purpose of this petition is to change our calendar system to be based on July 4, 1776. While initially this may cause some confusion, it is necessary to differentiate our nation of patriots from the rest of the world.
America has conquered the metric system, now we must unite to conquer time itself.
