Base the pay of Legislative and Executive branch elected official off of the national household average.

I propose that elected members of the legislative and executive branch of the the federal government get paid only 10% above the national household income of the USA. I feel that this would create a more unified bond between civilian and elected officials. This would also motivate elected officials to create jobs and raise the standard of living for all Americans.
