It is understandable as to why little white lies are told about certain things, but these small, seemingly insignificant lies lead to larger lies, and these lies will lead to distrust between the people and their leaders which will ultimately lead to a strong division between them. There is already some division and distrust due to these lies, and that can't be ignored.
Don't sugarcoat our society by saying that everything is fine. If there is a problem, don't hide it from the people. We would like to be patriotic, but it's difficult to do so when we can't even trust our own government.
It has been said that history repeats itself, and that all great nations fall. By observing the current condition of country, it seems as though history may repeat itself if something isn't changed.
