Teleportation technology would completely overhaul the way that travel, trade, warfare, and space exploration are conducted. Benefits of this technology are limitless but include: personnel and supply movements, medical applications (bio-filter), rocketless resupply of space stations, and a massive reduction of the United States dependency on oil.
Teleportation research would also serve as the beginning research into replication technology which has applications including the elimination of world hunger.
