We as a country, and as a species, request that the united states government initiate the required steps in order to land on, explore, and colonize the martian planet through multi-national joint operations, with the same determination as that of the Kennedy administration in landing on our moon. The benefits of doing so would be the obvious peace between the united states and other countries in the pact to go to mars, but also the protection of the human race against the sudden unexpected destruction of the earth.
