Begin American Imperialism! Turn current U.S territories into countries under American rule!

There is no question whether it is from a military or world influence perspective, The United States of America is currently in an age of imperialism. I think it's time to embrace that! I say we organize all current territories into an organization named the United Countries of America. This can go along with various benefits including a U.S citizenship and protection from the U.S government. For example, Puerto Rico would still keep it's own government, but it would be under the power of the United Countries of America.
