Begin a Department of Justice investigation into the fanatical wing of the GamerGate movement.

For more than a year, individuals referring to themselves via the hashtag #gamergate have been carrying out an aggressive harassment campaign against women in the video game industry, using the anonymity of the Internet to protect themselves. Their tactics include making threats of violence, rape and even death against those who oppose them. This is terrorism by the strictest definition - using fear to try to control the actions of the people. Because of this, many of the best and brightest women may be afraid to pursue careers in technology. The DOJ should be seeking out those who take these criminal actions against Americans and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law to show that the United States will not tolerate this type of intimidation of its citizens.
