Begin funding for decent and adequate housing for low income parents and persons with disabilities.

The housing situation in America is inadequate and flimsy at best. Because of this landlords are able to demand top dollar for rental properties that are small and not accommadating for seniors, and those with disabilities. In the city of Philadelphia, PA there are currently vast stretches of vacant properties and boarded up homes so that large sections of the city look like war zones with empty lots and trash filling the streets. The city is plagued with drugs and gun violence and it is depressing to live there. The landscape of the city is dirty and smells like an unwashed rag. Are there training or carpentry programs to fix up and rehab the slum tenements of New York, Philadelphia and Oregon?
