Begin an initiative to promote critical thinking amongst the American population.

As a product of the early 70's, I have grown up to see an alarming trend in our population to react to anything heard and not take the time to critically think for ourselves. This has led our entire nation down a path of economic strife for the middle class, a generation of narcissistic politicians running our country, bedlam in our school system, and a cliff-drop decline in eligible candidates to replace the pioneers and torch-bearers of our scientific industry. If we as a nation do not begin to increase the competition between ourselves and other nations with a higher level of intelligent humans, we are bound to complete the slide down the slippery slope we have already lost our footing on, and it's all about the foundation, folks. We have nobody to blame, and that isn't our legacy.
