The current way that the prison system operates is unfair and unethical for the treatment of prisoners. The standards for the prison system are that prisoners are to be treated ethically and not be denied their basic human rights. Many prisons across the country have been proven to have some rather questionable issues when it comes to dealing with prisoners. Some sadistic or unethical treatment has been revealed by many different sources over the recent years. If we were to have a large scale reform of the U.S. justice system, and switch it over to an incarceration system similar to that of Norway's, it is possible that we might be able to lower the re-incarceration rate an improve the country drastically.
