To begin laying the groundwork that sets meaningful term limits on members of the House and Senate.

Created by K.S. on December 29, 2012

The fiscal cliff approaches and the true nature of Congress rears its proverbial head yet again. As member try to balance the needs of their constituents and the American people alike, lifetime politicians are only able to embrace a jaded perspective of their vote. Instead of asking themselves, "what would be best for the country, even if it is unpopular with my constituents?" They only ask if this vote is in their best interests, and understandably since they have their families well-being to consider.

This system is not working. Every day members battle to make the others simply look bad. Jockeying for legislation, viable or not, that only increases their reputation among potential voters.

We Believe that setting term limits will solve this problem and end lifetime campaigning.
