begin a national conversation on how important mental-health care policy is for our country for many reasons.

Created by J.D. on December 15, 2012

In light of these horrible mass murders in public places we have seen recently, the difficulty too many Americans are still having economically, and the increasingly complex world we live in, we petition President Obama to lead a national conversation on how a comprehensive and effective mental-health care policy could go a long way in solving many of these issues.

The Affordable Care Act was a step in the right direction, but a strong and comprehensive mental-health care policy could benefit us all by:

1. Leading to more productivity in the economy;

2. Ending the recent rampage of horrible mass murders;

3. Quite simply, making Americans less stressed and happier.

It is time for policies that explicitly recognize the connection between one's mental health and many other issues.
