begin an open contest for voluntary hackers/programmers to help reform code for cybersecurity and government info

Created by P.B. on April 10, 2013

Annually, Google holds a hacking competition open to volunteers where they can receive prizes for discovering vulnerabilities in an effort to make Chrome more secure. I believe that this is an amazing idea that could be implemented by the US government. This petition is to begin an annual competition put out by the government where they supply sample code that is similar to that which is used to hold private information. As our government is obviously at a lot more risk than Google is, i do not believe said examples should be verbatim from actual code. The code supplied at the competitions should be fabricated. Too often do hackers successfully invade systems and they can be stopped through the implication of this government supplied competition.
