begin an open discussion regarding the dissolution of the U.S. Republic and move towards a direct vote by the people.

Created by B.W. on November 01, 2011

When the United States government was founded, it was not practical for all people to vote directly, Today that technology exists. A discussion should be had to dissolve the United States as a Republic and reform it as a true Democracy where people vote on bills, not representatives. Our government is flailing under the weight of partisan politics, influences on government by special interest groups and big money interests, pork barrel spending, individuals who place their political power power above their country, and a disinterested and disenfranchised electorate. Giving the electorate the ability and right to vote on a Federal level may serve to fix the ills of our country. Congress could be maintained as our representatives to draft and propose bills.
