Why should representatives be the only one to vote? If they're absent, why can't their constituents simply do their job for them at the click of a button? The internet has recently seen the rise of the 'like' button on Facebook and the 'upvote' on reddit. A similar system should be used in congress which would allow the average citizen to give their word out. And if the masses believe, it should only take the period of time needed for them to log on and click a button to push a bill through. Isn't a system like this inevitable? The administration should prepare a response to the likelihood of a truly online and social government.
